Aerial images add a different perspective!

February 29th, 2016|0 Comments

Sometimes a different angle or a different view can change the your whole perspective of an object. Whether its real estate or a an inspection of an object. Through aerial images your able to get views that generally weren't available before. If your selling a house with a or unique property it might pay to spend a little extra for aerial images. It used to cost alot to rent a helicopter to capture these images. But now its relatively cheap and can help your real estate deal close faster. If your in insurance or the home inspection industry. A few

So I began my journey into the drone industry a few months ago. Its been a pretty wild ride so far.  I began just messing around with the concept of adding aerial inspections to my home inspection business  Mjm Ultimate Home inspection. I started joining facebook groups and learning all I can about the industry.   Its crazy theres so much red tape the answers you get just create more questions.  One of the first things I did was apply for FAA exemption 333.  Applying was easy but knowing exatly what it means is another question.  Some people say you

Law Regarding Drones and UAVs

February 15th, 2016|0 Comments

Laws Regarding Drones Drones are one of the hottest things out there right now, but if you are going to invest in a drone for whatever reason you will want to know the laws and regulations when it comes to using a drone. This will help you to avoid things like fines or other undesirable consequences. Every location has their own stipulations and you need to be aware of what your state regulations are when it comes to your drone. This has especially come into question when Amazon discussed using drone for their deliveries. For more information on the laws

The Use of Drones/UAVs in inspections.

February 15th, 2016|0 Comments

When most people think of unmanned aircraft systems (UAV), most commonly referred to as drones, they think of residential and hobby uses. Today, drones can be used for residential purposes, from taking photos of your roof to simply getting great aerial shots of your neighborhood, just like you will find on www.dronepic.us. Others may be familiar with drones due to the speculation and goal of Amazon to deliver packages across the country by drones, but one of the most practical and overlooked applications is the use of drones in inspections. At Mjm Ultimate Home inspection we will be looking into all possible

January Update

January 28th, 2016|0 Comments

So January 2016 has came and gone. The month went by so fast.  I purchased the Yuneec Q500 4k and the skycontroller for my bebop.  Its been a crazy month the amount of stuff i learned.  My Facebook group Worldwide Aerial Images has been growing steadily.  Everyone seems to be interested and helpful.  I have been practicing everyday flying.  My skills are getting better but very slowly.  This weekend should be the first weekend i take my Yuneec out and let it rip.  I am a little scared.

New Year New toys

January 19th, 2016|0 Comments

So its been a few weeks and I can say i am a total UAV addict. I started with a 50 dollar toy then moved down to two small 20 dollar drones.  Then purchased a 100 dollar drone.  Then I purchased the bebop which is growing on me.  At first flying the Parrot bebop was difficult and scary.  Its very easy to fly but when your outdoors flying from your phone it looses connectivity pretty easy.  Its scary and if trees are around it can mean a problems.  Mine landed in a tree 50 feet in air because it lost

Parrot Bebop cheap case

December 30th, 2015|0 Comments

I recently purchased the Parrot Bebop.  I searched the internet for days to find out what type of case i wanted to purchase.  I seen cases that were going for 20 dollars all the way up to 300 dollars. I am always on a budget so i decided i would build my own.  I seen two different ideas I liked. One was purchase a case from harbor freight and spray paint the interior of the box black.  The guys that did this made them look really good. The other idea I came up with while i was searching on amazon

Sky Viper Video Drone

December 28th, 2015|0 Comments

For Christmas I purchased the Sky Viper video drone for my kids.  I decided to review it if anyone is interested.  The Sky Viper is a drone that can usually be picked up for less then 100 dollars.  After having it for less then a week it is broken and doesn't fly straight.  The drone is made of cheap plastic and is so light it flys away in the wind.  The first day i flew it i had great success.  The drone flew good and took good pictures.  I flew it about 100 feet in the air and took a

FAA Registration for recreation

December 23rd, 2015|0 Comments

So I just finished registering my drones.  At this point in time there all cheap kid toys.  I wanted to see what all the fuse was about.  Facebook and social media have been going crazy the last few days.  So here is my take on it.  Its free and its easy.  It took me less then 5 min on my phone.   Theres so much fuss about our rights its crazy.   If you plan on using your drone for any commercial purpose you will need to do more then a 5 min registration I can promise you that.

Exemption 333

December 22nd, 2015|0 Comments

My first blog post this is kind of just a test.  I recently applied for my exemption 333.  There has been a lot of debate about whether we should or shouldn't apply for it.  I plan on using my drone for commercial use so the more certificates or licenses i have the better.  I understand the Law is going to change mid 2016 but taking the chance isn't worth it.  I figure if it takes 120 days to get exemption then I would rather apply now and see what happens.  If i wait till June or July when the new
